WASHINGTON, D.C.— Today, Miami Herald reported that Sen. Marco Rubio (FL-R) will stand by Trump despite calling his 2005 remarks about sexual assault “impossible to justify.” Latino Victory Fund interim director, César J. Blanco, released the following statement:
“Marco Rubio has proven over and over again that he can’t be trusted to choose what’s right from what’s wrong but politically expedient. He knows that Donald Trump is a danger for our country and has condemned his inexcusable remarks against women, veterans, Latinos, and the LGBTQ community, but yet he’s still supporting him for President. At some point, we need to ask ourselves how can we trust a man who will support a morally bankrupt, temperamental, dangerous, and crass person like Trump for President? Rubio once again is picking politics over country, proving he can’t be trusted.”
