WASHINGTON, D.C.— Latino Victory Fund and the League of Conservation Voters are investing $100,000 in a mail program to mobilize 32,535 Latino, African-American and Asian American and Pacific Islander general election voters in Nevada’s 4th congressional district for Ruben Kihuen. The mail program consists of 4 mail pieces on Ruben’s record as a champion for the Latino community in Nevada, Heck’s record in Congress and how it is taking us in the wrong direction, and Heck’s support of Donald Trump.

“Ruben Kihuen is a progressive leader who has dedicated his career to giving Nevadans a fair shake at the American dream. Kihuen has proven himself by championing fully funded K-12 childhood education, college affordability through the Silver State Opportunity Plan, and $15 minimum wage,” said César J. Blanco, Latino Victory Fund interim director. “Latino Victory Fund is thrilled to help get Ruben Kihuen elected to the House of Representatives in November. We know that Kihuen will work tirelessly to represent the people of his district and further policies that increase opportunities for workers and for Latino families.”

LCV National Campaigns Director Clay Schroers said, “Hardy has been representing big oil and gas special interests in Congress, putting at risk the health of his constituents by advocating for Big Polluters. Ruben Kihuen, on the other hand, will fight for a clean energy economy, creating good paying jobs, tackling climate change, and protecting the health of Nevada’s families.”
