Mitzi Ramírez served as Coordinator of Public Relations for the United States at Grupo Salinas, a Mexican conglomerate, where she oversaw international cultural exchanges, including hosting Congressional delegations, elected officials, diplomats, think tanks and other senior policy experts on international roundtable discussions to improve civil society partnership between USA and Mexico.
She also collaborated closely with Latino organizations to build effective public awareness campaigns using television, internet, and in-person programs across the USA and Mexico on issues such as civic engagement, citizenship, early childhood education, voting and financial education. Previous to that, she served as an intern at the Mexican Consulate in Orlando, Florida.
Mitzi is a member of the Binational Advisory Group for Hispanas Organized for Political Equality (HOPE) Binational Fellowship, an executive leadership program for outstanding Latina professionals who, through increased competence in national and global economic and security issues, are in a position to make urgent and long-lasting improvements in the lives of Latinas in the United States and all communities.
Mitzi holds a bachelor’s degree in International Relations from Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México (ITAM).
