With Early Voting Beginning on Monday, Latino Victory Project Reminds Miami-Dade County Latinos to Make Their Voices Heard

Washington, D.C. — With early voting beginning on Monday, October 20, 2014 in Miami-Dade County, Latino Victory Project President Cristóbal Alex today urged Latinos across the county to make their voices are heard on Election Day.

“The first step towards ensuring that the Latino voice is represented in all levels of government is coming out to vote,” said Alex. “While it’s crucial that we all turn out on Election Day, we should also remember the importance of voting early. By casting your ballot early, you can quickly and easily help affect change throughout Florida and the country.”

A 2012 Pew report notes that there are 2.1 million Hispanic eligible voters in Florida, making it the third largest Hispanic eligible voter population nationally.

According to MiamiDade.gov, early voting for the November 4, 2014 election begins on Monday, October 20, 2014. Registered voters in Miami-Dade County may vote at any of the 25 Early Voting Centers in the county between October 20th and November 2nd.
