With Early Voting Beginning on Monday, Latino Victory Project Reminds Los Angeles County Latinos to Make Their Voices Heard

Washington, D.C. — With early voting beginning on Monday, October 6, 2014 in Los Angeles County, Latino Victory Project President Cristóbal Alex today urged Latinos across the county to make their voices are heard on Election Day.

“There is no question that Latino representation in elected office is not reflective of the size of our community. Latino candidates and those who share our views are at risk of losing crucial elections when voters stay home,” said Alex. “Casting your ballot early is the first step towards ensuring that the Latino community can affect change throughout California and the country.”

A 2012 Pew report notes that there are 5.9 million Hispanic eligible voters in California, making it the largest Hispanic eligible voter population nationally.

According to the Los Angeles County Registrar- Recorder / County Clerk, early voting for the November 4, 2014 election begins on Monday, October 6, 2014. All registered voters in Los Angeles County can vote at the Registrar-Recorder/County Clerk building in Norwalk, CA. For more information, click here.
