Washington, D.C. –Latino Victory Fund announced the endorsement of Ammar Campa-Najjar for California’s 50th Congressional District and Steph Dominguez Walton for Oakland City Council, District 1. 

The races are high-impact and historic for the Latino community and Democrats. Campa-Najjar would be the first Arab-Latino to serve in Congress and he would also flip the 50th Congressional District red to blue and Dominguez Walton would be the first Latina elected to the Oakland City Council.

Ammar Campa-Najjar, California 50th Congressional District

  • If elected, Campa-Najjar would be the first Arab-Latino to serve in Congress, and he would flip the 50th Congressional District from Republican to Democrat. His priority issues include job creation, protecting the environment, and expanding health care access.

Steph Dominguez Walton, Oakland City Council, District 1

  • If elected, Dominguez Walton would make history by becoming the first Latina elected to the Oakland City Council. Her priority issues are focused on the well-being of working families and children, and they include housing, equity in education, and public safety.
