LATINO VICTORY PROJECT-Latino Decision Poll shows San Diego mayoral candidate David Alvarez with a commanding 65-point lead with Latino voters over opponent, Kevin Faulconer. 75% of Latinos support Alvarez to just 10 percent in support for Faulconer and 15 percent undecided with the special election three weeks away on Feb. 11. “The enthusiasm from Latino voters in this poll is very similar to the enthusiasm Latinos had in Los Angeles during the L.A. mayor’s race nearly a decade ago when Latinos showed up at the polls at a higher rate than all other groups,” said Cristóbal Alex, president, The Latino Victory Project.
The Latino Victory Project, co-founded by Eva Longoria and Henry Muñoz, is a nonpartisan effort to build political power within the Latino community to ensure the voices of Latinos are reflected at every level of government and in the policies that drive our nation forward.
