Position Summary

The Latino Victory Project is seeking a Finance Director. Qualified candidate will be a self-starting, motivated person who is highly trained in fundraising campaigns and major gift development with the ability to develop and nurture relationships with key donors, as well as special event planning experience.

Essential Responsibilities and Tasks

  • Develop comprehensive and integrated fundraising program and ensure effective implementation of the program
  • Establish fundraising goals, identify potential donors and other fundraising sources, and monitor/report on deliverables regularly 
  • Develop strategies to encourage new or increased contributions; may include a donor membership program 
  • Fundraising outreach; build and maintain strategic partnerships with the donor community
  • Generate lists of affluent and successful constituents and make personal appeals for support at special events and private meetings
  • Plan events/house parties, working with the Advisory Committee Members to identify and recruit co-sponsors and event participants 
  • Facilitate direct fundraising at events, through credit card and online contributions, gift envelopes, etc.
  • Compile or develop proposal materials with the President to submit to granting or other funding organizations
  • Draft email and mail solicitations; develop online and direct mail requests for contributions targeted at large audiences
  • Direct or supervise fundraising staff, including volunteer staff members

Required Education, Experience, Knowledge, Skills and Ability

  • Minimum of 5 years of successful fundraising experience
  • Strong networking capabilities

Valued and Non-Essential Education, Experience, Knowledge, Skills and Ability 

  • Spanish language skills desirable
  • Experience using NGP and Act Blue


  • Strong commitment to the LVP mission and values, building Latino political power at all levels of government and expanding the Latino voting base
  • Ability to exercise a high level of judgment and discretion, and to manage multi-faceted programs and sensitive political situations
  • Ability to work well and creatively under multiple priorities and tight deadlines in a team environment and independently

Position Summary

The Latino Victory Project is currently looking for paid special projects interns. The intern will work in a fast-paced environment, learning about political and advocacy campaigns, federal and state political structures, and supporting elections. The intern will have many opportunities to attend relevant talks, panels, conferences, and receptions representing Latino Victory. 

Essential Responsibilities and Tasks

  • Political and demographic research regarding campaigns affecting Latino populations
  • Digital Media and graphic design content creation for Facebook, Twitter, and other mediums 
  • Writing projects on issues such as immigration reform, environment, education, access to jobs and others 
  • Communications projects e.g. drafting press statements, op-eds and collecting clips of the day 
  • Development support, including donor research and logistical assistance with public and private events 
  • Administrative duties as needed
