Maná’s “Fher” Olvera and “Alex” González, Join Star Lineup for Latino Talks in Washington D.C. on May 4

 Latino Talks will feature Latino Victory co-founders Eva Longoria and Henry R. Muñoz III, “Orange is the New Black” actress and author of new memoir, “In The Country We Love” Diane Guerrero, and Chef José Andrés as part of a star-studded speaker lineup.

Washington, D.C.—Latino Victory Foundation is proud to announce that artists “Fher” Olivera and “Alex” González, members of the multi-platinum selling and Grammy Award®-winning Mexican rock band Maná will be joining the star lineup for Latino Talks, on Wed. May 04, 2016 at the Woolly Mammoth Theatre Company in Washington, D.C. Latino Talks celebrates the Latino community’s talents by convening Latino influencers who have excelled in business, science, politics, activism and the arts among other fields. Through an unconventional format of cocktails and conversation, Latino Talks panelists and its audience can examine the growing influence of Latinos in the United States and the intrinsic link between culture and leadership.

Maná has sold over 40 million albums worldwide and has been recognized with four GRAMMY Awards and six LATIN GRAMMY Awards.  In the United States, Maná holds and impressive nine #1 albums and ten #1 singles -more than any other band in the history of Billboard’s “Hot Latin Songs.”

This September, Maná will be begin their new tour “Latino Power Tour,” which is meant to empower the Latino community to take action, be civically active, and show their strength. During the tour, the band will partner with Latino organizations throughout the country to register voters and encourage the Latino community to participate in the elections in November and make their voices heard.
