“Just when you think Trump can’t hit a new low he somehow manages to one-up his own racism and surprise us. He’s gone after Mexicans, Muslims and immigrants, now he’s attacking everyday Americans whose heritage he doesn’t like, accept or respect,” said Cesar Blanco, interim Director of Latino Victory Fund. He added, “Trump’s comments about U.S. District Judge Gonzalo Curiel’s objectivity and ability to perform his judicial duties are completely unfounded. Judge Curiel is an accomplished Mexican-American with an impressive and objective judicial record that should not be called into question. Donald Trump is playing games to try and make himself the victim and hide the fact that Trump University was a sham that scammed people out of thousands of dollars. No matter how hard he tries, Judge Curiel will not be his scapegoat, and our community and the American people will not stand by and let him destroy the fabric of America.”
